In July 2016, the Libertas Medical Director presented on the work of the Libertas Center to over 150 Emergency Medicine Residents and Faculty at the annual White Coat Ceremony Conference of the Mount Sinai Consortium System, which includes the Mount Sinai, Beth Israel and St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency programs. She discussed the model and impact of a torture treatment program based out of an Emergency Medicine Department, and the identification and care of torture survivors who present to the Emergency Department.
