COVID-19 Information

(Please find a more extensive list of COVID-19 resources here)

COVID-19 Vaccination Information:

Vaccine Fact Sheets: Arabic and English, Burmese and Karen, Dari and Pashto, French and Swahili

Kinyarwanda and Lingala, Nepali, Spanish, Tigrinya, Ukrainian and Russian

 Vaccines are safe and effective!

·  They are safe for you!

·  They are safe for your family!

·  They are safe for your community!

They have been scientifically developed and tested.  Scientific evidence says they are safe.  They have been proven to provide up to 95% protection against COVID-19. Experts believe that getting a COVID-19 vaccination may protect you from getting seriously ill even if you do get COVID-19. The COVID-19 vaccine protects you by creating a strong protective immune response without having to experience sickness from getting the disease. Because for some people, the COVID-19 virus can cause severe illness or even death.

The COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective. But there are certain myths and bad information surrounding the vaccine. Vaccinations do NOT: change DNA, control minds, insert microchips, cause cancer, or prevent pregnancy, etc.

Now that a COVID-19 vaccine has been approved, the priority for getting vaccinated will be given to the highest risk populations. The priorities vary by the city and state where you live. The priorities also vary based on your age, your health conditions, and your occupation. Make your appointment to be vaccinated as soon as possible for your priority group. If you need help, talk with a health provider or a community navigator to plan how to make your appointment to get the COVID vaccine as soon as you can.

It will take time for everyone to be vaccinated and slow the spread of COVID-19. We must continue to protect ourselves and others, using all the tools we have available. So, remember:

·  Get vaccinated!

·  Wear a mask!

·  Wash your hands!

·  Keep six feet away from other people!

·  Stay home when sick!

  • COVID-19 testing, evaluation and treatment is covered free-of-charge, regardless of immigration status, by Emergency Medicaid. If not already enrolled, call 855.355.5777.

  • The Families First Act provides additional funding to pay for coronavirus testing for anyone who is uninsured. The funding will pay for testing at community health centers, outpatient clinics, and doctors’ offices.
