Leah Weinzimer, LCSW

Leah Weinzimer, LCSW, is the Operations Director at the Libertas Center. Ms. Weinzimer received her MS in Social Work Administration from Columbia University and her BA in Sociology and with a minor in African Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has received post-graduate training from the International Trauma Studies Program in New York and from the Women’s Therapy Center in California. Ms. Weinzimer has over 10 years of experience in program development, fundraising, research and evaluation, partnership development, training and supervision as well as providing direct psychotherapy and case management services to trauma survivors. Ms. Weinzimer’s professional experience includes positions at Partnerships for Trauma Recovery in Berkeley, CA, the Safe Horizon Counseling Center in Brooklyn, NY, the International Rescue Committee in Boston, MA, and through internships at non-profit organizations and UN agencies in Kenya. Ms. Weinzimer was previously the Program Director for the Libertas Center from 2010-2015, and is thrilled to re-join the team in 2021. Ms. Weinzimer lives in the California Bay Area and works remotely for the Libertas Center.
